Desperately in need sister with a severely disabled 22 y/o daughter in Egypt
Our sister is a single mother of 6 children. The girl you see on the photos is 22 years old. As a baby, whilst the operation got severely complicated, the surgeon made a horrific mistake and left her 100% disabled for life. She can't talk, she can't walk. Her mother has been looking after her as a baby plus all the extra challenges as she was growing up for 22 years. She can never leave her alone, not even for a moment. The youngest daughter is 11 years old.
The sister's ex husband is a high profile criminal, hence she was awarded the custody of the children and finally got her visa, which is extremely rare for those countries. The court has given them permission to live in the family home by the time the youngest girl is 18.
All their life in Egypt, the ex never supported them financially, so they have been living on handouts. She has been really straggling to pay the bills, feed the children, pay for the medical bills, clothes, books and stationary for children for school, all second or third hand or if somebody throws them away, she takes them for her children. And most of the time she is forced to borrow money constantly just to feed her children the very scarce and basic food.
Absolutely living on the brim of poverty.
The walls are ridden with damp and for 22 years she had no means to do anything about it. The children have been growing up in extremely poor conditions in every way. Please have a look at the photos below and let's help them make their life bearable.
