Summary

#1 - Free a sister in London from £1000 debt

Story

Our Pakistani sister in East London, lives in shared accommodation by herself. She is in desperate need of help. Her family disowned her 15 years ago because she refused to enter into an arranged marriage. All those years she had been managing on her own, with the help of her brother, who was the only one who supported her. However, she has recently fallen very ill and has lost her job as a consequence and her brother passed away a few months ago, so she is in a desperate state and extremely worried that she might be forced to be homeless pretty soon.

I met up with her this week, she only had 81p in her bank account Subhanallah.

She is in debt £1000.

Buraydah ibn al-Aslami reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever grants respite to one in a difficult debt, he will have a reward of charity for each day. Whoever grants him respite after payment is due, he will have the like of it in charity for each day.” (Sunan Ibn Mājah 1977)

Abu Qatadah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever grants relief to a debtor or absolves his debt, he will be in the shade of the Throne on the Day of Resurrection.” (Musnad Aḥmad 22023)
